Blue Collar Workers: Career and Life Satisfaction High; Trust in Elected Officials Low New Labor Poll Reveals State of Blue Collar Workers in America 86% Satisfied with Their Job; 85% Believe Their Life Is Heading “In Right Direction”; 51% Say the Country is Heading in the Right Direction 70% Don’t Trust Elected Officials

This just shows how out of touch our representatives are to the general public. (70% don't trust elected officials).

They are bought and paid for and do not represent their constituents in most cases.

I see these numbers and it becomes clear that members of Congress will begin offering a way for them to claim a level of solidarity with Trump. One thing you can always count on is all politicians will adapt to survive.

I'm guessing many of these people are included in those few hundred thousand in five key states that gave Trump the victory. Seems unlikely they'd switch parties, meaning Trump would be reelected if election were this year.

Web, saw a piece on polling.
It was very informative in that it offered up some information on how this distrust of politicians is almost paralleling the media, etc.
Basically it said folks do not feel safe telling strangers, etc, they support Trump because of the repercussions it might generate.

I will see if I can find it, but in had lots of statically supported summations that will end up breaking in Trumps favor, when tallied.

Personally I know my vote will be against the media.
They have shown reckless disregard toward their duty to report truth.
Yeah, I understand politicians embellish greatly, that is nothing new, don’t like it, but the media has abandoned all intellectually honesty in their pursuit to sway, twist, misrepresentation, etc, the truth.
It only lets the devious escape the scrunity of light, which can be harsh, but we have to face the facts, to find resolutions.
Everyone is entitled to their beliefs, but not to their own truths.

I kinda doubt that.  Have you seen his numbers lately?  His rust belt supporters aren't too happy with the tariffs - neither are his supporters in farming.

But for what it's worth, his supporters in Congress won't have to worry about switching parties.  They'll probably be out of a job after the midterms.

BTW, it wasn't quite a "few hundred thousand" that helped trump win.  In the key swing states it was literally a total of just over one hundred thousand.  Yeah, he won fair and square, but it was a razor thin margin.

I'm curious ray - do you have an example about that?  Where the media didn't report the truth?

That's a pretty hefty assertion that you're making.

Does fox news count as "the media"?

I'd love to see actual examples of that.  In fact, I think we all would.
