After all the decades of
Progress and the
New and Improved software that always has flaws, should we be really comfortable with the same buncha coders writing the basic instructions for something that is designed to learn?
Am I the only one who read
The God Machine?
That was fifty years ago..But dang, now the robot technology is coming along, what if they accidentally build a buncha machines that decide humans are not that desirable?

AI definitely isn't being developed by the same buncha coders.

I find it hard to believe that with the extreme limitations of actual AI that we could intentionally develop self-aware machine capable of self-sustaining systematic logics, let alone accidentally doing it.

I don't think its possible under the parameters that govern electronic machines.

Our own brains are electronic machines running on an organic substrate. Who knows what will happen in the future? Perhaps homoelectrus will leave homosapien behind as homosapien left homoerectus. But I don't think we are there yet.

A.I. has been used as evidence in a court of law, if you consider Alexa to be A.I.

It records conversations in certain situations and has been used to prove proximity of persons.
