Yeah, I wonder if the nra will run this little gem?

I'm thinking no.....

Yet another straw on the sensible-gun-control camel's back.

 They will.

It is a textbook example of how to not engage in safe gun handling in accordance to State law.  Both men are of legal age and are openly carrying two legal to own weapons which on their own is completely safe.

Continuing to argue and confront people in a non-imminent personal safety environment is an issue.  Had both men had knives and stabbed the man to death the same issues apply.

I have no data or references, this is based off of my own observations in relation to NRA TC activities and program development that when compiled and posted represent my opinion.

My guess is they'll jump on this just as soon as Planned Parenthood jumps on the Kermit Gosnell story....

Well, if Planned Parenthood was as big a lobbyist as the nra, you might have something there.

But as it is, they aren't. So...

Further, this gosnell guy is in jail on murder charges.  I wonder if these good ol' boys get the same...

Can you define  sensible, as it relates to gun control?

Would one be willing to apply the same rules to the other amendments?

Common Sense gun laws..

You won't get them to explain what they are.

Title: Re: Meanwhile, In Texas - More Guns!!
Post by WebsterMark on 09/25/18 at 05:24:00

We have common sense gun laws now that aren't enforced and many are unenforceable in private sales. It's illegal to sell a handgun to a felon but you know it happened a hundred times across the country last night in living tooms, card, back alleys.

Title: Re: Meanwhile, In Texas - More Guns!!
Post by justin_o_guy2 on 09/25/18 at 09:57:18

I'm a little bit torn over the felon/gun thing.
I can't imagine being unable to defend myself. And in this world, it's WAY too easy to be a felon, and never do anything violent.

Title: Re: Meanwhile, In Texas - More Guns!!
Post by WebsterMark on 09/25/18 at 10:20:54

Fair point. Maybe violent felons.

That’s right, they NEVER  will.

Really, a DFI, does a DFI thing,
and ALL gun owning people,
and ALL people that want to buy a gun,
AND the NRA, is at fault.

Clear and simple,
The term, “Common Sense gun laws”
Is a well know term the UL’s use for.
“BAN ALL GUNS”

Guns will always be here. If the government wants to take them, people will just say that they lost them , or they were stolen. Get them while you can.

Third, the NRA has averaged, (from 1998 to 2018),
Average:  2.3 mil,
Gee compare that with the LOWEST  above of 7.4 Mil !

Then, from a well known, UL  Site:
“…"The National Rifle Association does not have Republican ‘balls in a money clip,’ as (late-night TV host) Jimmy Kimmel put it the other night," Stephens wrote. "The NRA has donated a paltry $3,533,294 to all current members of Congress since 1998, according to The Washington Post, equivalent to about three months of Kimmel’s salary. The NRA doesn’t need to buy influence: It’s powerful because it’s popular."

Just a notation, Jimmy Kimmel  can LIE, all he wants.
Well, kinna like the he/she called tt.

I can.  Maybe if you weren't so lazy, you could do the research yourself - but not to worry, I'll be your huckleberry...

To mention only a few that would make a huge difference:

- National permit-to-purchase system
- Enhance mandatory background check requirements and standardize them across all states, including for private sales
- Empower the government to actually collect and study information about trends in gun violence
- Limit all magazines to 10 bullets or less

Would one be willing to apply the same rules to the other amendments?

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say, but our Constitution is a living document and subject to change (um, Amendments, get it?)

Yeah, stupid people, evil people, do bad things,, but you lefties have been Wrong before and are Wrong now.
You tell me WHY we have a second amendment, then, once I know you know the answer, then we can talk.

*yawn*... oh, hmm??

Yes jog, I do.  And what were the weapons at the time it was written?  What was the state of the government when it was written?  What was the general population?  Did you know that the White House wasn't even built yet?  Animals were still grazing on the site for Christ's sake....

I'm not as stupid as you wish I was.  We're all aware as to why it was written.  But it's bull-headed gun nuts like you that transform it into some national rally cry of freedom.

Enough, huh?

And truthfully jog, I have no desire to talk to you at all.

You are useless to try and debate with.  There's no value in it.

Since the law was written by people who had fought for freedom from tyranny
Using weapons that were equal to the weapons of the tyrants army, they intended us to be able to fight on equal footing.
Never gonna happen
But that's not a reason to surrender what weapons we have or
Further limit the functionality of them.
I support fully any magazine size you want.
And your deep background check, what do you want?
What's not included now that you want?
When you start down that road, who pays?
What stops the antigunners from using insignificant details to stop a sale?
The
Common Sense
Of a lefty is not something I am trusting.
