Its hard for people that sit in the safety of the US to get a clear understanding of what goes on out there, especially in S America. Beheadings are more common now, at least in most recorded cases they drug the victims. Gang rape is common, making husbands watch is common, its a standard control feature. This happens in the US too but not in the scale it does elsewhere. This does not mean to imply that 100% of the people in a caravan are seeking asylum, or need it. This is an attempt to describe a situation that happens where people can be seeking asylum in response to the question "Asylum from what?" exclusively. |
