“I think that journalists have taken it personally. They’re personally wounded and offended by this man. He baits them, and they dive in. And what he’s done well, I thought, is he’s appealed to their own narcissism, to their own ego. Because what he says is, ‘These are the’ — and the journalists stand up and say, ‘We are noble. We are honorable. How dare you, sir?’ And they take it personally. And now he’s changed the conversation to not that his policies are silly or not working or any of those other things; it’s all about the fight. He’s able to tune out everything else and get people just focused on that fight. And he’s going to win that fight."

Stewart's 100% correct on this. Plus if you want to see TDS on full display from a major and influential member of the dominant liberal media, her tone deaf response was exactly what Stewart just said. It's like she didn't hear him. "....its hard for us to be dispassionate when words from the White House are so aggressive against us and raises the specter of violence against us."

There's a saying that politics is Hollywood for ugly people, but maybe that fits journalism as well.

Folks often hate their own reflection in the mirror.......

We have a person posting here who examples this nature perfectly, and he testifies on his own behalf, that he is not guilty of such, while testifying how right he is, attaching the word "everybody" agrees/believe, like him.

Is it the legal profession that says, a man who represents himself has a fool for a client?

Web, I will also offer this observation by me, those folks who open a business, yet can't fulfill their intended obligation to meet the public's need, like making a cake, have also let their OWN personal convictions, and shortfalls, impinge on the public, in a way that is detrimental to their stated beliefs....
I know you won't agree, I know lots of my friends/believers, don't agree, but again, LOVE should not come attached with strings.

It's an understatement to say that you took that statement out of context.

You make it sound like Stewart agrees with trump. That he's somehow against the journalists on the attacks on the media.

No it doesn't. It's nothing of the sort. If that's your level of comprehension when reading a short paragraph, I beginning to understand why you sound so foolish all the time.

Um, mark... You're the one that posted the "short paragraph", thus eliminating the CONTEXT and exploiting it. That's on you, not me.

Someone lazier than me would take that tack if they only saw that paragraph.

I think that was your intent.

And like her, your TDS caused you to completely miss his point.

No, I see the point. That's why I posted.

This was you using a quote (out of context) of Jon Stewart saying that trump would "win" with this strategy.

But the context of the entire interview is much more about how he's gone too far.
