Chicago is like most every other major metropolitan city. Run by Democrats and now leftist for years. If they were a business, they'd be forced to file bankruptcy. Chicago's numbers are higher because of its size but its essentially no different than St Louis, Baltimore, fill in the blank..... High rates of violent crime in relatively small areas, corruption has caused unfunded financial obligations that are beyond its ability to pay etc... Not much different than the Federal Government in that regard. There are no-go parts in most US cities and Chicago is no different. It's the inevitable result of putting the soft socialist known as The Democratic Party charge.
