Title: No room at the Inn
Post by WebsterMark on 11/26/18 at 05:02:57

Be prepared all week to hear "news" stories about the poor, innocent migrants being attacked with chemical weapons by Trump and how he would have done the same to Mary and Joseph looking for a place to stay. Mind you, they have zero in common but when did the truth ever matter to the news media?

That's how you repel an
Invasion.

actually, Mary and Joseph did flee Bethlehem into Egypt....  wonder if they went through the correct border entrance.. probably not, because King Herod of Israel wanted to KILL Jesus, so why would you go to the king's forces...  you know, the proper legal way.... looks like they snuck into Egypt all illegal like....  even had a kid with them...  one that was only really half theirs anyway....  kidnapping the son of God and illegally crossing a border....   bad, bad, bad people...   :-?

Egypt was part of the Roman Empire so they didn't sneak across any border. It's like going to South Dakota.

fair enough, but they were still fleeing for their lives seeking asylum.  and yes they snuck across borders and evaded the "law officers" of their jurisdiction

funny enough, it seems Rome mostly had open borders....

neither do current illegal immigrants, they aren't technically eligible.  the only loophole is that they can apply through their children that are born here ( as citizens)

and it's not illegal to claim asylum... so while they are here waiting for their asylum hearing, maybe then.... idk

the fix is, get more immigration judges to process the claims faster, not build a wall, use AMERICAN VALUES AS WRITTEN IN THE CONSTITUTION OF JURIS PRUDENCE.   otherwise there is no equality here, our laws only apply to some, not to all

There's open borders between all 50 states. Stop  trying to squeeze a square peg in a round hole.

so, you'd go to Oregon or Maryland or Oklahoma to seek asylum?     Joseph and Mary felt unsafe where they were and FLED, just like these people are doing. PERIOD. deal with that reality.  and back in those days, there was no real understanding that they didn't have that right, they could have fled to anywhere.

and here, I'm kinda with you, if Mexico offered them asylum, they should have taken it there, cause a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush, and guess what A LOT of them did take that offer.

should we be ashamed that AMERICA is so much BETTER than Mexico that some would rather be here? even under Trump?

You can keep wacking that square peg but no matter how hard or how many times you hit it, the story doesn't fit. They were on the lam, running from the King, looking for an out of the way place to hide. There are plenty of lessons to glean from that story, but open borders isn't one of them.

These people are economic refugees, not political refugees. Millions of Central and South Americans fit that catagory. Are you suggesting we open the gates and allow in millions?

Ashamed? No. Are you? Why?

Oh, so now,
YOU  believe,
EVERYTHING that book says ?

Have you always, believed everything it says?
Or do you believe only some of the things it says?

Or do you only believe some things,
when you believe you can make a point.

And do not believe things,
when others use that book to make a point.

Which is it ?

Then this:
" they were still fleeing for their lives seeking asylum"

Agree the book says,
(in different ways, depending on the, version, of that book)
'fleeing for their lives'
Could you point out where is says:
"Seeking Asylum" ?
