WTF is WRONG with people?
It's not Just that they want to let students decide their own grades,, read Why,, ohhmuGawd,
It's a trip into mental illness.

In realistic speak, this:
"...students can choose their own grades, the presentation asserts, then they’ll feel less stress and anxiety, and maybe even learn more productively..."

Means:
Less will flunk out, therefore more will enroll, pay tuition, and when the words spreads, (you grade yourself), students will be standing in line, to pay tuition. Class rooms will be stuffed as full as they can get. Even more money.
Classes will be UL, Socialist, and the % of graduates extremely high. Which the 'Study' of, can now be quoted by tt and puppets, "Look See, Everyone is a UL Socialist Progressive, Fairy Dust Sprinkler".

And the Pres/Professors will get a big Raise, and do less work.

(And that is just one way, 'Limousine Liberals' are made)

I well remember the oppression of the college. They insisted I not spend all my time partying, so I could pass some stupid test. Why should I not be free to do as I please? What makes them think they should be able to judge me, weigh and measure me, based on a Frikken Test? I'm a unique Being, I'm valuable and I Deserve a diploma and a job commensurate with my college education degree.

This already happened and the seminar information is public. Do you ever read the information referenced in the articles?

Things change, college isn't and should not be how it was when you went. Could you imagine trying to keep up with modern business practices if you had paper books, pay phones at the ends of the hallways, typed letters mailed to your potential clients?

There's no way to know what the results of some, not all, self-grading class structures unless it is tried. That's what the seminar suggests, it does not lay the groundwork for extensive self-graded classrooms, and it is open to failure. I think in the long-run it would not be beneficial to have all courses self-graded, but some might actually benefit from it.

Please explain how/what, learning today's methods of Business, Computers, Cell phones, etc.

Yeah, for a lot of the bullsh*t courses that make up the curriculum nowadays it probably wouldn't make much difference.

"Underwater Basket Weaving" course?

How is one to prepare, in learning Life Skills, if those kinds of courses are NOT offered.

After all, if not for the, Tree Climbing, Lady Gaga, South Park, How to Watch Television, Westworld/Our World, The Art of Walking, The Game of Thrones, Elvish (the fictional language spoken by elves), Makin’ Whoopi: Goldberg’s, The American Vacation, TV’s Buffy, Vampires, courses.

If not for those, 'specialized' courses, how would those people that, believe TyT & CNN are Sacrosanct, ever Survive ?

Nothing about the program allows medical students to set their own grades. Zero part of the seminar information says that, actually it recommends against such structure.

But lets complain about it anyway.

I read the link yesterday, than again just now.
I saw nothing in that link that says: "for, 'medical', degrees it is recommended against self grading"
No doubt it is included in a fuller text of the entire seminar.

I did see, again.

That could very well be like, a male , 'middle life crisis', Professor, giving a certain grade, to a attractive well endowed female student.

So, the solution, (the the UL, Socialistic, Progressive's think of),
is to, change the way grades are given.

Not at all what's presented in the material or why the experimental structure was developed. But yes I am sure someone would rather let students pick grades so they can sleep with their students.
