Other sights have reported 600,000 to 700,000, in years 16/17 and 18 estimate. From the DHS: “…Identifying aliens who overstay their authorized periods of stay is important for national security, public safety, immigration enforcement, and processing applications for immigration benefits,” the DHS report noted. The document emphasized that DHS will continue to develop biographical and biometric data on travelers to improve the tracking and deportation of violators who remain in the U.S. despite being expected to leave.…” (Continue to develop, but not do anything ?) From the Washington Examiner:“…The Department of Homeland Security is catching less than 1 percent of people whose U.S. entry visas have expired, according to a new audit….” Found this from the UK: "…Immigration minister Brandon Lewis said: “These operations show that we will not tolerate people living and working illegally in the UK. Illegal working cheats the taxpayer, has a negative impact on the wages of lawful workers and allows rogue employers to undercut legitimate businesses. “Those unscrupulous landlords flout the rules by knowingly renting property to illegal migrants as an easy source of profit,” he added.…” Gee where is Hovis, jumping yup and down about how bad the UK is. Implant/s, Facial Recognition, scan Passport every so often, (with a photo being taking just like a ATM), ENFORCEMENT, of the current law, effort made to CATCH, the overstays. A Idea: Perhaps, come into this country. Finger print, and Face scan. Every crime, a fingerprint and face scan, compared with the ‘’entry’’ file. If no ‘entry’ recorded, (and no BC), that person Sneaked in ! Then deportation. (and no, legal re-entry) (That alone would have SAVED the life of the Police Officer recently shot in cold blood) IF their is a ‘entry’ recorded, Deportation on the recorded crime, with no re-entry, forever. This would require a City/County/State to corporate with ICE/BP/etc. And if the City/County/State does not. Then they have chosen to get, NO, Money from the Fed Gov. |

I agree that more modern methods could be implemented to monitor the movement of Visa Overstays other than the self-check in system. There will be backlash over the implant idea for sure, but as I see it there is no written protections for non-citizens regarding accountability. Also as far as I know there's limited Constitutional protection, for instance the 2nd typically doesn't apply, yet the 4th usually does. It may be messy in court regarding initial implantation but the technology does exist to at least make a starting point. |

State trooper whom I meet and talk to a few times . This happens to be law enforcement week ,if see one you might thank him for his service, but I highly doubt the WALL would have saved the life of either. |

As is a child dying in custody at the border. That those episodes happened are a shame but the odds of that happening are pretty remote. # of students nation wide / number killed in the couple of shootings in 2018 is a pretty small fraction. Smaller than the ratio of law enforcement killed perhaps so I guess using your logic, it's not big deal and nothing worth bothering anything over. |

Not all would by many be considered terrorist attacks, some were racial and some anti religious in nature. Those that were clearly were Anthrax in 2001 KIA 5, Beltway Sniper 2002(?) KIA 17, Ft.Hood 2009 KIA 13, Boston Marathon 2013 KIA 3, San Bernadino 2015 KIA 14. Orlando Nightclub 2016 KIA 49. (and yes the number injured was higher.) For comparison, the NHSA traffic deaths for 2001 thru 2016 totaled 607,547! Perhaps we should implant all drivers, especially any who failed a sobriety test or were seen driving distracted. |
