As a mildly interested bystander I wonder if the anti trumpers on here are supporters of Hillary and if so why? Just because she is the other side of the political fence or on her own merits ?

No. I was a supporter to Bernie Sanders, not hillary. However, in choosing the best of two evils, I chose hillary without question.

When it comes down to merit - trump has none. At least hillary had served in government and was a politician.

To be clear - Not because of her, but more as a vote against trump.

She was a lazy candidate and she was an establishment democrat of the highest order. Been there, done that.

Not for me. Basically Trump is an historical anomaly and my guess is that he will ultimately have a beneficial effect in the long term by causing the USA to reexamine the way it's particular brand of democracy works.

My thoughts are similar to Eau de Sauvage.
Trump will be beneficial in the long term. The pendulum needs to sometimes take a radical swing to make people pay attention to what is important. Hillary was a poor candidate with lots of history and made it easy for Trump in my opinion. America deserves better
