Title: Newbie questions Post by Al79856 on 01/23/19 at 16:10:43 Hi I’m new to the Savage and wanted to ask: a post said 3 major things need to be fixed: cam chain adjuster, change petcock, and change front of seat height. Do these apply to later models like 2015 and up? Thanks for the help! |

Yes. The only thing that changes from one year to the next is the paint. The rest of the bike is the same. Obviously, the newer the bike, and the fewer miles on the clock, the longer you have before you have to address the petcock and cam chain adjuster issues. As far as the seat goes I don't know. The seat was changed from a two piece to a one piece in 20-something. I'm not sure when exactly. I have a 2006 with the newer seat and I think the seat is fine. Might be just me, or maybe the one piece seat is better. IDK. |
