You can be an effective politician and still be a Christian - but it's obvious what this politician is doing. Like so many other republicans, he's using the fear of God to justify his point. I myself have said that Obama is a far better Christian than trump could ever be - however, he never invoked Jesus as his advisor. There's nothing wrong with being Christian or Muslim or whatever - but when a politician does something like this, it's got to be called out (just like Max Cleland using his "war injury") |

I agree that tax dollars given to abortion clinics is something people should have input on and be able to keep from happening for exclusively their own taxes. Not mine. Not for every American, which is what people are trying to do. But to say that paying taxes equal "in essence" to conducting an abortion is inaccurate. That's no different than saying that knowing abortions will still happen, just in non-clinical locations, is equal to murder if the mother dies. Christians are not forced to physically conduct or otherwise physically engage in abortions. |
