Title: Front end issues Post by SavageMan99 on 07/25/19 at 19:44:53 I'll try to describe it as best I can. Loud sqwauk noise on bumps. Wheel locks up on hard turn to right. It doesn't track well. Any ideas? Plus my forks are very stiff, will less oil help? |

Title: Re: Front end issues Post by verslagen1 on 07/25/19 at 20:02:07 check your wheel bearings. check the oil level in the forks. drop the top tube into the slider all the way. oil level should be about an inch below the top. |

Title: Re: Front end issues Post by Fast 650 on 07/25/19 at 23:20:02 Are the front axle spacers installed in the correct sides? They are slightly different lengths and will offset the wheel creating symptoms like what you described if you get them reversed. |

Title: Re: Front end issues Post by batman on 07/26/19 at 05:30:39 Have you done any resent work to the front end? If you have I think Fast 650's thought to be the most likely cause , when turning right it could cause the wheel and brake disc to contact the brake pad. The noise is caused by the forks being slightly misaligned , for the same reason ,as the forks try to compress the situation becomes worse. |

There's one with a machined flange, that goes on the disc side. |

There are only two spacers and so they probably belong on the opposite side as you have them now. You know what I mean? ;) |

Title: Re: Front end issues Post by batman on 07/26/19 at 15:38:51 If you rebuilt the forks ,didn't you use new fork oil and measure the amount in each? how could that be the problem? |
