Title: Holiday Decorations

Gotta love the festive holiday decorations my coffee shop down the street put up. It helps that they share the parking lot out back with the Janus Motorcycle boys. And enjoying a hot cup snuggled up next to the Janus just puts you in the holiday mood. Certainly beats a Christmas tree.

If it was a 650 I might...
Looks like a Brough Superior with a baby motor.

You nailed it. A mere 250cc. But, a sweet little bike to ride. And aside from the Chinese Honda knock-off engine, everything fabricated by the local Amish craftsmen within a 10 mile radius.

How small is too small ?   George A. Wyman  did a transcontinental crossing ,from San Francisco to New York City (the first on a motorized vehicle) on a motorbike , A  1902 California model ,with a 200cc four stroke that made 1.5 hP on 30 octane gas in 1903.  He covered 3800 miles , more than half following RR beds due to the lack of roads and impassable trails and wagon tracks,   in 51 days  (counting a 5 day layover for a broken crank ) I'm sure he would have preferred todays roads and a Janus!

Yes, but in 1902 dodging the occasional train would be far more preferable to dodging traffic on today's hiways.

The Janus  is (was?) being tested on the same journey. The Iron Butt  runs this challenge on every odd numbered year.
