Title: 'New' Savage
Post by Armen on 12/07/19 at 07:26:42

So, I went to the International Motorcycle Show in NYC last night. At the Suzuki display there was a new Savage. The tag listed all the specs as usual, but it said '2019'. I take that to mean Suzuki has a bunch of leftover 2019 bikes, and is still supplying them to dealers. The big question is, what do they do when the 2019s run out?
Motorcyclist Magazine (online) listed the Savage as one of Suzuki's 2020 offerings.

When I brought mine brand new in 2010, I had a look at the vin plate, it was made in 2008 and complied wit Canadian emmission standards, maybe NZ gets what the Canadians can't sell. Even if Suzuki has stopped making them, I think you will still get "new" ones in 2022.

If the paint colors don't change their not new. What color tank and fenders were offered in 2019?

I see that Suzuki is still showing  the S40 at the New York show.
It was featured as a beginner bike.
