Title: Holiday Rides Post by SoC on 12/26/19 at 20:06:29 Here today at the Jersey Shore it was mostly sunny and it hit 50 degrees, no better way to celebrate the Holiday season then a quick ride on both the Savages to charge the batteries and circulate some oil. I have a nice 8 mile loop out the back of the Industrial Park, onto an interstate for 2 miles and a quick return through some back roads and a short run down a state highway back to the shop. Ran both to a fuel stall and drained the tank for the next nice day. Hope all had a great Christmas and that everyone has a Happy New year. |

Title: Re: Holiday Rides Post by Dave on 01/01/20 at 12:18:01 Happy New Year! Started the year off right, and I was able to get the bikes out and make a 20 mile loop on them to wake them up from their winter naps. It was 45 degrees and the rains the last week have washed all the salt of the roads. I dressed warm and enjoyed the rides! The F800GT is going to need a battery before spring....it barely started even though I put it on the battery tender for a day every few weeks. (I never leave the tender on for extended periods......as I don't want to ruin a battery if the tender decides to fail and overcharge). |
Title: Re: Holiday Rides Post by MMRanch on 01/01/20 at 21:22:06 Enjoyed a "New Years Ride" today. Our CMAUSA Group went to the "Bridge to No Where" in Middle Tn. I got my bike blessed for 2020 and in turn got to blessed a half dozen in return. It was 28 deg. F when I left this morning but warmed to about 55 deg. before the day was done. Then I/we went to a friends house for some Black-eyed Peas and Luck for the new year. It was about 175 mile ride and I'm still Grinning from it ! ;) |
Title: Re: Holiday Rides Post by SoC on 01/02/20 at 20:02:05 To all those who celebrated the holiday's and the New Year on a ride, I offer up my respect, and also my perspective, which coincidentaly is the new decal print on the back fender of my '03', "Gone are the days we stop to decide, where we should go, we just ride". Welcome to the New Year, wishing everyone the best. Lyrics- "Crazy Fingers", music/lyrics Garcia/Hunter. |
