Im sure there an easy answer somewhere, but I tried searching it in all manner fo word combos and no dice. Is there a way or tool to tighten and loosen the stator cover inspection plug without chopping the aluminum all up? I have plated the cover and don't want to chip the plating. It seems maybe a half moon of 1/8" aluminum fixed to some sort of handle might do it?

If you booger it up getting it out,... get a replacement for a Suzuki Intruder 800.
They take an allen wrench... 8-)

When you put it back on DO NOT use more than finger tight.

It will not work its way loose and if you tighten it too much it is very difficult to remove.

Don't ask!

I have a lawnmower blade cut off ,using the center four or five inches.
You can stick a file tang in the slot and carefully hammer it across the slot, to get it straight, and stuff cardboard in to get the profile of the radius inside the plug.
Then use antisieze and good sense putting it back in.
