Out of here at 6:45, and due to intercept some ugly weather North of Houston.
Anyone heard if he's home?

It has indeed been a great trip. I spent last night at JOGs house and I thank him very much for a great dinner, a comfortable bed and the good company he and his wife provided. I left JOGs house at around 6:30 am as bad weather was expected in my part of town. I got home right at 10:30 after about 230 miles, just in time to take a shower and go to church. The rain started at 12:30 and has not stopped. So I stayed dry but strong winds were a nuisance for most of the ride.

Thanks guys for the fun week of riding. And than Deb and Marcia keeping your husband's under control [ch128578]. Dave and MM are lucky guys, they married way up[ch128512].

I'm home too.   ;D

You got in ahead of the rain? I thought when you said it was gonna be wet by 2, you meant AM,, Well,, Good,, stayed dry, Sure dont like rain and traffic. Cagers dont see us well when its pretty,, they dont figure we are even on the road when its raining hard, or cold, and raining,,
Awwrite,, everyone survived and had a good time,,
Successful Venture!

And I got some parts I NEED.. Thanks Versy, for thinking of me and hauling them to Arkansas and handing them off to Springy,, and then He went outta his way, makin his trip longer. Those parts were gonna be a hassle and some expense, Now,, Im good,,

Thanks guys,,

AAAAnd,, lets not overlook the strangest gift ever..

Dave cooked pancakes for breakfast. Had batter left after all were fed, so,, he sent me 4 pancakes. They were a bit past their prime, so I didt eat them, but I Did take a whiff,, and they smelled really good..A bit of butter and some Aunt Jemima and I think they would have been okay..

SOOOOME Day.. IM gonna make a get together.. I hope..

Oh, they were really good especially with Ohio maple syrup.

Let me know if you need any more parts, I'll just have to mail them to you if I have them.

The weather app showed rain starting at 2 am. I was just lucky that they were wrong because the rain did not start until just after noon. The wind was a real issue though, even on the heavy bike those gusts definitely pushed me around a good bit. I am so happy I did not have to contend with rain also. And I guess it is possible I went a bit faster than the speed limit in some places, in most places, in all places .... no, not me! ;)

JOG, glad I left the boot horn with you. I could not find it and figured I lost it on the highway. It's your now. It is really helpful in getting the boots on. I'll go and get me another one soon. It gives me an excuse to go to the boot shop.  8-)

Pretty sure I'm not gonna need it. My boot s aren't such an exact fit. It's still yours, door is open, next time you're on the road.

Ha! Springman told me you kinda gigged him on that..

I thought I'd give him a cheap shot.

I sat on that bike. Standing it up off the stand took some effort. Another few degrees and I couldn't hold it up.
Good looking thing, I like the Schwin like paintjobs.

Marcia and I were talking about what a "Looker" that bike is just this afternoon .   It reminds me of the days when I had a Sportster ... but I suspect the Honda will hold together better and longer !   ;)

The 1200 Roadster lost its crankshaft splines at about 15K miles and the 883 started weeping oil about 45K miles.    I didn't ride them like Harleys might have been part of the problem ???  ::)
