I have watched some of his videos - I don't agree with several parts of his tests and have commented on YouTube about them.

He seems to prefer using small lawn mower engines for his tests, and he tries all the fuels, additives and oils with the mower running on concrete. I understand the engine are easy to work on and cheap to buy - but the engine isn't being put to the test if you just let it run in the driveway.

I don't think you are going to learn much of anything without placing the engine under a load.....running the engine while sitting on concrete does not put any kind of a strain on the engine, does not really bring the engine up to the operating temperature you would get if you took the darn thing out and mowed the grass!

In another video he took a 2 stroke bicycle engine and tested 2 stroke oil and also a mix made with 4 stroke oil. He ran the engine just a very short amount of time........you really need to run the engine an extended period (weeks, months or years) to make any kind of realistic statement about how it works. When I was in high school the majority of folks just mixed a quart of SAE 30 oil in 5 gallons of gasoline for the Lawnboy mowers and for use in chain saws - one of the common tune up chores was to remove the muffler and clean the carbon out of the exhaust port in the cylinder wall.

The fellow is entertaining - however there are a lot of his tests that just are run long enough.....or the engine is not loaded up enough to trust his results.

He did AA battery tests, 1/4" impacts, too.
