Title: Decompression Lever Install
Post by gtenginerd on 02/02/21 at 18:03:41

Is there a video or clear explanation of the decomp solenoid and circuit removal and lever Install? I've scoured the internet and see discussions, but nothing comprehensive. I'm trying to figure out if this is something that I should tackle while I have the bike apart. I don't mind trying and documenting in the build thread, if it's not too hard, and I can figure out what I'm doing.

@Dave

Do you have a kit you could sell to this gentleman?

No - I got enough BMX levers, cable and parts to build 6 of those kits - and I sold them all years ago.  I am not looking to get back into the business of making/selling them.

It requires a 2” piece of wire and a bolt.

I was thinking this was a simple lever installed on top of the engine block, and removal of the solenoid and circuit. Doesn't look that straightforward :(

you can do it that way, but you need to disable the clutch safety too.
