An analysis of 12,345,678 IRS calls that were not from the IRS indicates that "speeding up" the stimulus check is the most common method to get personal information.

Scams to gain access to personal information or steal stimulus money are at an unprecedented volume.

Most victims are 70+ in age. If you have parents, grandparents, friends etc. that are not tech savvy or familiar with scams please inform them that the IRS will not call you to get personal information.

They will not send the police, they can not speed up your stimulus check.

They do not call you for personal information.

A cycle of reported and verified scam calls in Denver/Ft Collins/Boulder area yielded 23,456 calls to get personal info at nursing homes and assisted living centers alone.

Denver/Aurora documented well over 500,000 calls since Friday at 2AM Mountain Time. Not all have been verified.

There's a lot of scammers out there trying to bleed people out of stimulus money this time around. These are unprecedented numbers. Tell anyone you know that the IRS does not call you to check on your stimulus money. They do not need your personal information.
