Title: W-650 Post by MMRanch on 08/06/21 at 15:48:37 OK GUYS HERE IT IS ! Dave has found me a Himalaya and I can only have 3 bikes ... ::) Truth be told : My teenager desire for a Triumph 650 has been satisficed . Kawasaki did better that Triumph did on this one. The W650 has 1mm larger bore and 1mm longer stroke than the 1960's Triumphs did. Its still a under-bore motor so its really mild mannered till it gets up to about 5K rpm then ... up to redline 7.5k :o. Its a 4 valve/cylinder shim adjusted valves rated at 50HP. and about 5k they seem to all be working together just fine ! ;) NOW , the question might come to mind ... Why sell it ? Well , I rescued it from a shed , and I like to tinker with bikes too . ::) As it turns out ... the W-650 and the V-7II Moto Guzzi are both made for the same thing. Both are 50HP / 400 pound fun bikes. So , I've got two bikes that do the same thing . And I don't have a street legal dirt bike . So , I need to sell "KATE" the W-650. All the mods I've done are reversible and all the original equipment goes with it. Its got 18k miles on it and runs great , I've been riding it daily all summer. It gets 55 to 65 mpg the way I drive. It feels more like a "BIKE" than the Guzzi does , but the wife likes the Corbin on the Guzzi ... so ... Guzzi stays and Kate goes . :-/ Please ask any questions ya might have . I plan to take Kate to our Arkansas trip unless I sell it first ? |
Title: Re: W-650 Post by NMSavage on 11/16/21 at 10:32:34 I see it's been months since you posted this moto for sale. I'm assuming it's no longer in your possession. However if it is...how much and where are you. I've wanted a W-650 for a long time now. Thanks for the reply in advance. If it's easier for you...my email is: eayers007@gmail.com. * |
