Title: Prayer request Post by LANCER on 07/07/22 at 13:43:32 My stepdad, Don, has been in/out of hospitals and skilled nursing facilities for weeks and now he has a very bad urinary infection and pneumonia. He is immobile, incontinent, slurred speech, makes no sense a lot of the time, is being given 2 antibiotics via IV for the next 7-10 days in the hospital. This all started just 4 weeks ago, until then he was fully functional as he has been for the past hundred years. This is a quick hard downturn for him. Outcome is uncertain. Prayer is urged. |
Title: Re: Prayer request Post by verslagen1 on 07/07/22 at 14:53:13 I know Don's a good guy, and he's been taking care of your mom as best he can. Prayers offered and I'll add him to the list. My mom JoAnn is in the hospital too. She came down with the latest covid and for the most part recovered at home, by now they say she has pneumonia and developed an infection in her face. Also add the doc's, may they have the sense to treat them correctly. |
Title: Re: Prayer request Post by MMRanch on 07/07/22 at 18:43:34 Heavenly Father We ask you to be with Don as he goes through this time of distress. We ask you to return him to his wife and loving family and that the pneumonia dries up and goes away from him. Lord we ask you to also be with JoAnn as she recovers from the pneumonia and that she too make a hasty recovery and return to her family who are in need of her guidance. And Lord I/we ask you to help the Doctors treating all the pneumonia victims all over your world , to give them wisdom to know what to do and when to do it. And all who can agree please say: Amen. |

Title: Re: Prayer request Post by justin_o_guy2 on 07/08/22 at 01:45:06 A friends dad got sick and was going down in much the same way. He had some kinda anemia? Can't remember exactly, it's been about twenty years, I know regular anemia, you treat with iron,I think,, but I'm thinking what C.L. needed was B 12. Pernicious anemia can be treated by restoring the vitamin B 12 supply. Looked up Types of Anemia. It was Pernicious Anemia. We all thought we were going to lose him. |

Title: Re: Prayer request Post by LANCER on 07/20/22 at 07:31:59 My stepdad is back in the ER again with abdominal distention and pains. This may be associated with heart issues he has had lately. The lower part of his heart was pumping only 36% before this episode today. Please pray. |

Title: Re: Prayer request Post by LANCER on 07/21/22 at 13:19:46 Thanks to all for your prayers, he needs them. Looks like the pneumonia has either returned again or may not have been completely gone with the last treatment, which consisted of two separate antibiotics given twice per day via IV. It may be that his 100 year old system is just not able to cope with these attacks. We are praying this is not the case. |
Title: Re: Prayer request Post by LANCER on 07/23/22 at 13:56:22 My stepdad is out of the hospital, all infections are gone and he is doing much better, and in a dedicated rehab facility for 10-14 days. This is so good for him now. Please continue prayer for his strength and encouragement. Thank you guys. |
