I was just browsing for a winter project and found this that caught my eye .

Its too far away for me but ... its fair game if someone else wants a project .

Guys ,

There a right time to sell a bike and I don't thing this is it ??? :-?

Right now I'm pooling all my $$$ together with my son and wife to get son a house built.

But , there sure seems to be a deal here for some forward thinking person ! :)

What I referred to is the reserve price... the price that if no one bids over no one wins.

You have to remember that this is Kalifornia, and you can ride year around.
Nobody winterizes their bike.

KBB has it at $3600

I think the reserve price is about $2200 depending on how fast the seller wants to get rid of it.

Mechanically, the engine has internal issues, the mechanic states it "rattles" when revved up, (see video) and also smokes much more than it should.

So , would a new cam chain and tensioner fix it ?

OK
1. A new piston and rings
2. Cam and tensioner
3. I like the "Form-a-gasket" for everything but not Head Gasket.

When warm weather gets here , I'd think that bike would be an easy $2,200. :)

I've got one of those "Super-Chains" that Lancer got for us a few years ago.

That bike had 50,000 miles on it and the chain adjuster was still on the second click of the second hole. It had basically quit moving after I replaced that "Heavy" spring with a "Mild" one.
So ,
I never used the new chain I was holding back.

Let me know if anyone needs it and I'll try to hunt it up. I've got some exaust gaskets I might find while looking.

Have ya thought about where to go yet ?

It would be Great to find another place like the Kerrville park to run day rides out of .
If ya come across a similar place we can try it out next year.
