And I would like to know why Fitting a 19” hoop on the rear requires a severe re-engineering of the swingarm AND would reduce the amount rear wheel travel , at least on a Ryca there ain’t but maybe 2 3/4” with a 18”. Best way is mod the swingarm as Ryca did and then lengthen the distance between swingarm pivot and axle by about 2”. Might make it feel more stable/ less twitchy with more wheelbase. 19s would look cool but I think 17s would make it handle better in the twisties and give it that Grom look ;D I’ll just keep the 18s , best looking option IMO |

Dunlop K180’s are available in several sizes for 18” wheels, which would be a no brainer for this application. If you look carefully, it appears that he’s running the Ryca side panels, painted flat black, with spacers through them to support the wing like green side panels. I don’t understand why he did that, probably just a styling flourish to hold his “number plates”. I really like the overall stance, and he nailed the straight line of the exhaust pipe, looks fantastic! I like the tail section, it might be fully custom as I haven’t seen that exact profile before. Interesting speedometer placement, keeps the triple clamps looking clean, but you can still see it if you look down. Overall a really nice example, I’m also happy to see someone giving some attention to these outstanding bikes! |

Not any pic from straight behind the rear of bike , only one showing that tail light not installed yet. I had mine mocked up at least 4 times before I decided to move left shock in. I was hesitant to do it but I had no excises not to. Amazing what you can do with a saws all , a disc grinder and wire welder. |
