Title: Rear brake need help Post by Savard 05 on 06/24/23 at 13:33:19 So I bought used Savage and the bolt that connects the rear brake lever to the camshaft and rear drum assembly is half out manual and online pics shows it screws all way in but it just turns stops bout half way idk if camshaft / star is stripped or someone used wrong bolt I changed rear tire and tried to fix it but same result. Can someone plz tell me size of correct bolt or if they know a fix/ what's going on . It's got me nervous to use rear brake in worries of brake lever coming loose and off the rear assembly camshaft. Any reposonse appreciated. |

Title: Re: Rear brake need help Post by verslagen1 on 06/25/23 at 09:46:05 you might have to raise or lower the lever on the shaft to find the groove. |
Title: Re: Rear brake need help Post by Savard 05 on 06/25/23 at 11:06:54 I see the grove it's jus ever so slightly to the left almost in the right position will I have to take brake assembly hub off or will the shaft turn a lil. What lever are you talking about to raise or lower ? |
