Title: Dumbest question you can ask as a used cycle buyer Post by J Mac on 06/29/23 at 18:26:31 Do you have the other key? Close second: Do you have the owner's manual? |

Even a new one. The shop manual (not the standard users manual) is invaluable for troubleshooting and repair. Learn your bike. Be your bike. Mmmmmmmm. |

I just think it would be nice to buy a used vehicle for once from somebody who gives you both (or more) keys and the manual. The feller I sold the Guzzi to got : Four Keys The owners manual The shop manual Computer (windows) program (Memory stick) for getting into the bike's brain box to reset error codes and read codes. The right wires and hook-up plugs to connect computer to bikes brain. Extra keys to the side cases w/extra locks . Plus 3 extra barrels (keys like the side bags) for a top-box or whatever he might want to add in the future. ? Then he ask me to test drive it for him ??? :-? ??? He never drove a bike before , but was signed-up for a Motorcycle safety class ... so I idled it around the yard for him ::) , and offered to pay for 1/2 the cost of the Safety class - he said thanks anyway. Last thing I told him was to be SAFE . :) |

Then ride off and not return for like 20-30 minutes just for a last ride. Then return pull off my helmet then ask him , how was that ? Last ride and burn some of that fuel I paid for. And still sell it ! ;D |
