Title: Belt cover over engine sprocket. Post by Bob Scogin on 09/06/23 at 10:34:59 This may seem a rather odd question, but why did Suzuki incorporate rubber grommets on the mounting hardware of the belt cover on the engine? |

Title: Re: Belt cover over engine sprocket. Post by verslagen1 on 09/06/23 at 15:19:17 well it seems to be a standard technique when mounting anything on the savage. Same thing is done to the muffler, battery box, head covers, handle bars, license plate holder and gas tank. And they mount all the electrics with rubber bands. I think they would've mounted the engine in rubber if they could have but the bean counters nixed it. |
