Title: Thinking of getting another Suzuki S40 Post by babbalou on 02/10/24 at 06:02:40 I got a new one in 2004, sold it in 2007 & got a Suzuki Vstrom & later a Honda NC700X which I still have. I was a member here when I had my S40. Well I'm 67 now & tired of moving a 474 pound bike around so I'm looking at going back to the S40 again. But only if I can move the foot pegs back. Otherwise nope, that's why I sold my first one. Has anyone moved the foot pegs back? Ryca Motors used to have a kit for that I discovered after I sold my S40 but it's not on their website now. |

You might try sending him a message too. Link to his post below so you can see what he did. https://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1487785879/30 |
Title: Re: Thinking of getting another Suzuki S40 Post by Ruttly on 02/10/24 at 09:55:23 There are several here that have moved the pegs back to a mid position. Ohiomoto with “that 70s show” automatically comes to mind. Ryca to high and to far back for stock seating. |
Title: Re: Thinking of getting another Suzuki S40 Post by babbalou on 02/10/24 at 16:03:13 Thanks. I checked the Suzuki website, no S40 so I learned they were discontinued after 2019. Surprised me, I remember them in 1986. Oh well, I'll be looking for a used one. Waiting on my tax return & selling my Honda first. |
Title: Re: Thinking of getting another Suzuki S40 Post by ThumperPaul on 02/10/24 at 18:07:28 Since you were thinking about getting a new bike, have you checked out the Kawasaki Eliminator 450? It’s under 400lbs, Ninja type design parallel twin motor, and it has adjustable mid controls. It’s new for 2024. I haven’t seen one in person, but it seems like a pretty slick bike. |
