Title: Joshua Cooper, Sentenced for Murdering 12-Year-Old
Post by eau de sauvage on 03/22/24 at 20:34:53

I don't normally post trash topics but hey, it's the weekend we gotta wind down.

This is a bipartisan post that I'm sure you'll all enjoy discussing, as for me the reason I'm posting it is this particular bit I have bolded.

Attention was drawn to Cooper after one of his friends called to say Cooper had used an Instagram chat to say he had killed someone and needed help getting rid of the body. “The legs and feet of someone covered in blood” were visible in the video chat.

The Buck County District Attorney’s Office revealed that Cooper had manipulated the lock on his father’s gun safe to get his hands on the firearm used in the murder. He “[replaced] the batteries his father had removed to make the combination lock inoperable.”

Right the kid obviously had the combination, but the father made his gun secure by taking the batteries out. That seems a bit inadequate to me, what say you guys.

Any desire to tell the, 'WHOLE", story ?

Just a small part;

"...also revealed for the first time an unrelated sexual assault case against Ash Cooper, which was discovered in the course of the murder investigation. She was charged in juvenile court and adjudicated delinquent, the equivalent of guilty in adult court..."

What? I genuinely am not following you. I was just marvelling that the gun cabinet only needed a battery replacement to bypass the security.

I don't know if this is true becource
There is no arguing with you, your use of language resembles someone who has psychiatric problems. And it all has to go your way. and that points to a nasistic malfunction.

And then you come up with a weekend trash topic that gives you peace from the weekday storm in your head.

@mnspring,

I'm just going by what was written, there's likely more to it. How it sounded to me was that it seemed obvious that you'd need the combination, the way it read to me was that it appeared that his kid knew the combination, but, and don't shoot the messenger, apparently it needs a battery to work?! who the crappity smack knows. But it says that the father removed the battery to make it inoperable. Does this make any sense to you?

How do you read it, you'd be more familiar wid dis sh!t.

Going overboard, Could be a reason.

“…Australia does not have explicit freedom of speech in any constitutional or statutory declaration of rights,…”
- regulates the content of any speech, publication, broadcast, display or promotion
- restricts or censors media coverage, including in relation to political matters
-  requires material to be approved before it may be published
- attaches criminal or civil liability to the publication of opinions or information
- regulates or restricts access to information, including on the internet
- imposes censorship or provides for classification of entertainment content, or
- regulates commercial expression (such as advertising).
- The Australian Constitution does not explicitly protect freedom of expression
- the High Court further qualified the Lange test to the dismay of many public sector workers
- In Banerji, the plaintiff was a government employee who was terminated for tweeting statements that were, inter alia, critical of her employer’s policies in purported violation of the Australian Public Service (“APS”) Code of Conduct.
- The Court found in favor of the government and held that the proper test for determining whether a law is overly restrictive is not weighing the law’s effects on the individual, but rather weighing the law’s effects “on political communication as a whole….”

And Australia, once part British colony, probably took a page !

“…Countries including Israel, Chile, Jamaica and virtually every other western European state were all ranked ahead of the UK in the measure compiled by the advocacy group Index on Censorship….”
