Employment opportunities increasing in an area is an invitation for people to move there. Employment opportunities decreasing in an area is an invitation for people to move away from there. An increase in population of in excess of 20% is certainly going to cause problems in any place. Even if they are all model citizens. Of course getting a commie to understand that is going to be impossible. Imagine watching your ship sinking, people in the frigid water,begging to be rescued, and looking at how close the gunwales are to the water and Knowing that adding anyone else to the lifeboat is going to bring the lifeboat perilously close to sinking and a death sentence for everyone in it... It's not Racist to say no. It's how it must be. Dumping 20,000 people into a place where 60,000 live is a destructive thing to do. Even if they spoke English and had skills that made them employable, it would be very bad. |

Being from Haiti isn't the problem, it's a collective issue of having too many humans presented to an area without a multitude of resources to integrate, and availability of resources from the host location. The slavery states evolved their way of life, laws, and concept of state rule during that period so the idea of states rights not being related to slavery just is not correct. Of course it was. I’ve read dozens if not, hundreds of letters from both the north and the south troops to family back home and the slave issue is a regular topic. Keeping the Republic together was primary but slavery was almost always mentioned or referred to. There’s no way around that. Not that states rights weren’t an issue worth discussing and didn’t have some role to play, but there’s no way around it: slavery was the foundational issue of the Civil War. |

If we split them into groups of 10 and sent them to 2000 different locations, there would surely be less compatibility issues. Less, not none. Less.
