Title: 16" rim with 150 tyre Post by Larsdk on 10/23/24 at 12:13:55 Anybody fitted a 16" tyre 150x80. I can seem to find any with a bigger/higher tyre, I know there can be problems fitting it to the swingarm, but that I can fix. I'm just wondering why know one is doing that, maybe I missed something. |
Title: Re: 16" rim with 150 tyre Post by Surviving Philly on 10/23/24 at 12:59:04 Fender clearance is one of the barriers besides the swing arm -- I had rubbing on the bolts with a 140/90-15. |

Title: Re: 16" rim with 150 tyre Post by TheBabyDerp on 10/24/24 at 04:45:28 Just curious, is this for aesthetic reasons? I don't see a benefit on these with a larger rear wheel. |
Title: Re: 16" rim with 150 tyre Post by LANCER on 10/24/24 at 05:04:13 I have a 16” rear wheel; 130/90-16 tire (ala Sportster), the wheel is a mag style from an ‘83 GS450. |
Title: Re: 16" rim with 150 tyre Post by Larsdk on 10/24/24 at 09:10:41 Yes it's only for aesthetic reasons, I think it's looking a bit strange when you look at it, so I would like a bit bigger rearwheel and maybe stretch the swingarm. |
Title: Re: 16" rim with 150 tyre Post by LANCER on 10/24/24 at 19:52:37 If you want to stretch the swing-arm then you will need the part designed to make that possible. I have a set designed to fit exactly the end of the swingarm and add about 2” to the length of the swingarm. Made of steel and needs to be welded into place.. Let me know if you’re interested. |

Title: Re: 16" rim with 150 tyre Post by Larsdk on 10/25/24 at 04:26:08 Lancer, the part you have is it the rear plate you weld a longer on, or is it the round peace that you stretch if you know what I mean |
