Post by WebsterMark on 11/16/24 at 05:27:30

rumor has it the Harris campaign was in charge of Netflix and the big fight last night. That explains it.

It was a cluster, like Harris. The announcers were as awkward as Tim Watz.

Assuming that’s a serious question, no, I don’t think so. I think early on, Tyson hit Paul hard a couple of times. After that I think one of two things happened.
1) Paul realized he had never been hit that hard, and this old man could knock him out if he got close enough. So he stayed back and boxed, knowing that he would quickly tire out which he did.
2) early on when Tyson hit him hard twice, Paul realized that this old man did not have the strength to knock him down. But, seeing the Tyson is the GOAT, he didn’t wanna embarrass him. So he just stayed back and boxed, knowing that Tyson would eventually wear down. I didn’t think Paul pressed the fight at all, which leads me to believe the answer is more likely number two.

No. I do not believe this was some version of wrestling, especially if you had seen the three fights before the Tyson fight. No way they go out there an act after the woman’s fight right before theirs it was vicious.

I can't picture Tyson throwing a fight, anyway. He Loves being the Badass. And being The Badass and pushing60? Epic..
I think more of Paul today. Not knocking Tyson out was a class move. And class isn't something I think of when I think of him. I'm bummed that Tyson lost. Haven't watched any of the fight. Don't want to see Iron Mike gettin pounded.

I didn't see the fight, I couldn't watch it. I saw in the training sessions that Tyson had long since lost the speed and ferocity that used to win him matches. And a boxer who doesn't have a match rhythm is always at a disadvantage. Mike has also suffered a lot of damage in his career. And then there's the huge age difference.

I understand that he wanted to get those 20 million.

Paul will always choose these kinds of opponents, so it will take a while before someone will knock him to the canvas.
If Mike had been a few years younger, he would have knocked Paul over the ropes.
You should always judge a fighter on how he was in his prime.
And Mike is a legend.
I couldn't see him losing this match.

If Tyson had won, I'd watch it.
