Title: Will 1986 tires and rims fit a 2000 Post by DaveFromCanada on 01/11/25 at 08:51:37 Looking at a part out I found near me - would 1986 tires and rims fit a 2000? |

I can't make up my mind if you are just having a laugh, but in case you are not, I have to say tires from 1986 are not nearly new, they are a death trap. |
Title: Re: Will 1986 tires and rims fit a 2000 Post by DaveFromCanada on 01/11/25 at 16:39:42 it is the rims from 1986 that I want to make sure will fit my 2000 I don't know enough about it if there were any changes in that regard. The tires are 2 years old. Sorry for the confusion. |
Title: Re: Will 1986 tires and rims fit a 2000 Post by DaveFromCanada on 02/02/25 at 16:39:42 I picked them up today - the rims are in much better shape than mine. The tires are only 2 years old. Just 2 months or so until riding season! |

Title: Re: Will 1986 tires and rims fit a 2000 Post by DaveFromCanada on 02/04/25 at 18:47:30 The guy I bought the rims and tires from is selling his bike in pieces. The rims (wheels) are from a 1986 Savage. The owner replaced the tires with new ones 2 years ago and barely drove it. Tires still have the nubs (tire spews) on the sides. I was pleased because the rims, tires, and exhaust were cheap, and he also included the rear pulley and axles at no charge. So, come spring, I will have some spare parts for sale. |
