Title: Anecdotal evidence
Post by WebsterMark on 02/11/25 at 04:00:32

I’m in Florida this week at a giant conference and trade show for equipment manufacturing. The “Trump Effect” is real. Virtually everyone I spoke to says energy and enthusiasm among buyers is much higher than the past couple of years. Every election year causes a slowing of investment as big money projects are concerned of the unknown since even a small change in policy can have major impacts on large projects but the turnaround is particularly larger after this election as the general belief is economic growth is far more likely.

It doesn’t matter if you agree with Trump or if you agree with his policies, what matters is the people who write the checks and invest in long-term projects believe it. And it could also be that  simply the belief a Trump administration will foster growth is partly what forces it to come about. Either way it seems likely economic growth for the next couple of years is likely.
Obviously situations change things as we saw with the pandemic so there’s always a caveat.

And also, I spent time with people from our Canadian office and we all had a great laugh over the 51st state thing.

Don't think THEY aren't trying to figure out how to wreck it
