Title: Not what I voted for Post by Serowbot on 02/15/25 at 15:05:33 Republicans are saying “Continue disregarding the laws of this country. We elected a president, not a king.” “Trump lost my support on Inauguration Day when he could not move the country forward by providing optimism, positivity, and hopefulness to the United States. Trump presented as a threat right away, and I know voting for him was a big, big mistake.” “I am from West Virginia, and his recent freeze of federal programs hurt my family and many friends. He has lost my support already.” “We voted for border security. We didn’t vote for my husband to lose his government career and benefits for which he has worked so hard.” “Tank the economy because he’s too arrogant, or drag us into a war because he can’t keep his mouth shut.” “He has already lost my support for attacking federal workers who are veterans.” “If he takes away grants that assist underprivileged people, such as SNAP, Meals On Wheels, Head Start, and veteran services. My heart breaks just thinking my vote may have contributed to this.” “If he does anything other than increase social security. Any cuts would be a reason to vote for impeachment.” “My Trump-supporting mom said that if he lifted sanctions on Russia, she would vote Democrat next election.” “Keeping Musk around!” |
Title: Re: Not what I voted for Post by WebsterMark on 02/16/25 at 06:15:34 I’m a Republican and I don’t feel that way and I just came from a company meeting with maybe 30-40 who I know 99% are Republicans and absolutely no one shares those views. So basically all those quotes are from people who have been milking a living off my taxes by basically doing very little of value. I get it, I’d be pissed too if my cushy job was over and I had to get out into the real world. But government policies don’t operate off microeconomics, they operate off macroeconomic. And you could go back on time and ask how many Democratic voters were left high and dry when Biden cancelled the pipeline and other common sense energy producing projects based on following the ridiculous Paris Agreements? The facts today are thousands of criminal illegals are gone now. The southern border agents report disbelief that so few try to break to the country now. Mexico is actually enforcing their side of the border meaning illegal drug prices are likely to rise as supply begins to diminish. Millions of our tax money is not going to be spent on nonsense. And I just watched VP Vance speech in Munich that I read stories about and understand why the European leaders were so pissed. He basically b!tch slapped them. Things are going well. |
