Title: Circumventing ignition and start button to start? Post by och on 09/11/25 at 14:15:42 I am really not riding my little S40 at all anymore, it just sits outside. I probably rode it twice in the last two years, both times less than 20 miles. Wanted to take it for a short spin yesterday, but the electrical connections must have corroded badly. When I turn the ignition key on, I have to wiggle the key inside for the lights to come on. And my start button has been acting up for a long time, now it just refuses to work, the contact inside must be corroded. Wondering if I just use a jump cable to the positive lead on the starter, is that going to do the trick? At least to circumvent the start button? |

I think both the ig and start switch have contacts you can clean. |
