Can any one tell me if you have to remove the clutch hub when replacing the cam chain.

No, you do not have to remove the clutch basket.

Just remove the primairy gear. Leave the clutch gear inplace to help you with unscrewing the primary gear. The nut has LEFT HAND thread.

to lock the motor place a copper washer between the cogs before undoing. or else.....take care now.
