Home made cycle jack...

In an attempt to do my own rear brakes I devised a pretty basic cycle lift out of 4x4 redwood studs. I used a 3 foot stud with two 1 foot studs on top of it to raise the bike frame 8 inches off the ground, just enough to get the rear wheel out.
To do this I placed the long stud perpendicular under the bike, and leaned the bike to one side, the left for example, then I slid one of the short studs on top of the long sutd, and under the right side of the bike, right under the engine... then I leaned the bike over to the right (leveraging it on the wood) and I slid the second short stud under the bike on the left hand side... and whalla - the bike is off the ground.
I wedged the front wheel in the corner of the garage to keep it from going anywhere, and I used a tie down (rope) to tie the handlebars to the wall, to keep it from falling off.

Thanx for the idea! I have hell cleaning my back tire, and this should cure it cheaply.
