If i'm in too high a gear she chugs, i feel it, like as if she's missing but she's not - she sounds like an old tractor. usually go around town in 3rd, sometimes down to second.

Yep. You can use 4th all the way to 75 if you want. I have, but I am usually in 5th at about 45.
