Can I get your weight and height?

Sorry don't wanna get too personal...
...I would just like to know others height, weight and how they feel about the savage after owning it a while, something to the effect of, wish I had went with more cc, v-twin, or I will be satisfied for some time to come. Maybe it'll help me determine if it would be right for me. Thanks
I would like to mention, if this has come up before, please be patient. I have done a search but ended up with many different posts that didn't apply. I used the word "tall" for the search and ended up with install and other words containing "tall". Tried to search by a phrase and nothing came up period, so figured it best to ask directly, thanks again

I Five foot six and weigh in at about 170.
Still happy with 650cc. Not anything out there thats V twin in a 650 thats going to be an advantage. Yamaha and Honda's twin 650's all weigh 200 pounds more per bike that the Savage does. Its all weight to HP ratio. Yamaha does have a shaft drive but Honda is still sticking to chain on its 650 Twin inline. So really the Savage gets up and goes as good and perhaps better than the competition that weighs considerably more.
Now if you are fairly large and if you plan two up riding a lot and your both fairly large then maybe you want to think 800 or 850 and on up. But if your say under 6 foot 2 and under 250 pounds and single riding the slimness and lightness of the Savage makes it a better handling bike.

5'7" on a good day. It's impossible to find another bike that has as much torque and weighs as little as the LS. I've owned bigger V-twins and fours and do not miss them at all. I also have a tremendous amount of fun riding 250's. It just depends what motorcycling means to you, but less can be a lot more.

5'1" - 130 pounds.
i chose the savage soley because it was the only one i felt comfortable sitting on. while seated my feet completely touch the floor flat footed with my knees slightly bent.
it also seemed to have a lower center of gravity which was important to me as it is my very first bike. i am a bit clumsy on my feet and stability is a major issue with anything i choose.
i love it. and i will be happy with it for quite awhile, i believe.

Okay.....
I've had 12 bikes in my 38 years of riding. My last bike before this 2000 Savage was a Yamaha 850 triple. Years ago I had 2 stroke enduros with far more horsepower than the Savage. But anyway, I've had this Savage for over 4 years now.....and to answer your question, since it appears that I'm the heavy weight entry so far....
....5' 9" and 220 lbs.... 8)

5'11" 175-177lbs.
I feel slightly cramped...forward controls would probably do nicely for me but since I don't really ride for more than a few hours a day it hasn't been an issue so far.
It has enough power on the highway and pulls away from every stoplight effortlessly for me. (60-80 at WOT goes by really fast on a flat stretch so passing is no problem here since the speed limit is 60 even if most people do 70).
[edit]- had no problem with a passenger the other day either (she was only around 100lbs). It didn't feel under powered for the city riding (below 45mph) we did.

I'm 5' 9" and 190 lbs. I've only had mine for 10 days but I feel comfortable on it. I may consider forward controls for it someday but it's certainly not a priority.

5' 10" ---190 pounds.
Really enjoy the Savage, and I haven't really felt the need for more power, but I mainly ride alone. I've only ridden with my wife twice. Really, really, enjoy the narrowness (is that a word?). It's fun to throw into windy roads. CPhilip has a point when he says that other bikes are heavier. My riding buddy had a 600cc Shadow Twin, and it weighed quite a bit more, and it didn't run any better. And the Savage is the best for the money, too.

5'11 240 lbs and a 30" inseam. If the seat was moved back about 2-3" it would be perfect. Around town it's just fine, but on the road, my fanny gets a bit callused.
On the freeway I wish it had a sixth gear or at least a little more go-go, but in the city, it's fine and can haul arse around just fine.

Yes, and the CB250 group. I'm down to 170# today.
We might as well plug both groups, eh.
