That's the one, behind the kickstand just behind the frame tube. It takes a 17mm spanner . Cannot be much different from the Savage. Grin

Just to be sure...the plug faces to the left side of the frame tube.

Yes, if you are using sitting on the bike as a reference.  When on the kickstand it is on the low side of the engine case.  There are 2 other 17mm headed bolts on the other side, but I don't know what they do.

I'll tell you:
The one facing forward ( when sitting on the bike) Grin is for the connection of a oilpressure gauge. The one pointing down ( when the bike is on the black rubbers)  Grin is for draining the oilfilter cavity. Never used because it's almost unreacheable.

Thanks for the info.
Like you said the filter drain (learned something new there) is almost unreachable, and I didn't need it when I changed my oil.

Also, when you think that all the oil has drained out of the drain plug, hold the bike vertical for a couple minutes and let it drain from the left hand side case....that area will still hold a little with the bike on the side stand.

And to get ALL the oil out you have to split the crankcase and clean it out with a lintfree cloth. Grin Grin

Any more suggestions mr. piston? Wink
