I just saw saddle bags support for $48.60 + shipping at

http://secure.cycleaccessoriesoutlet.com/store/customer/product.php?productid...

Has any one used this? Where do they go?

I don't see how those will fit.  They aren't configured the same as mine.....

As well, I wouldn't trust a site with the wrong info.  I know that it says "Savage" on the heading, but it also says VS650.  Not LS650....Suzuki does make a SV650, but that's a whole different bike.

They DO fit. Grin
I have trial fitted them to my Savage.
The little tubes on the left side of the picture take a long ( 65mm ) bolt that screws into the bottom of the sissybar. The other side goes on  the fenderrail with a longer bolt ( 60mm) and the same dome nut. Will post pictures when I have the thing fitted.

Okay.  I guess that I'm wrong.  I'd never seen those before and the site info was wrong, so therefore I opted to be cautious about a recommendation.

I took my saddle bag supports off yesterday...not that I want to grind my saddle bags in the rear wheel, but I decided to use them only over the seat for long trips.  My bags are 4 1/2 years old and the straps are beginning to break.  They don't hang as low when over the seat

While manipulating the 12 MM wrench between the tire and fender, I did notice that the bolts are closer to the tire on the left side than the right.  My supports mount differently than these.  Do we have a picture yet?

I got the supports yesterday evening, and I can not figure out where they will actually go. The only place it seems to fit is in between the 2 unmarked holes on part 6 (figure below).

Also, will I need new bolts or the existing ones will fit?

What do you think Kropatcheck? You have similar supports. Right?

Let me know!

You need 2 bolts , lenght 65mm at pos. 3 and 2 longer bolts approx. 60mm (next) to pos. 9.

Have not fitted mine yet.

The saddlebag supports look good. Pictures of products on web sites as well in catalogs may not be the ones you order. They often do not show a picture for every model of bike a part fits. Just one picture for all models to give a general idea of what it looks like.
