John, If this is possible, before you do it, I would suggest we ask the folks on the forum which they would prefer.  I can see advantages both ways but it would be a big change.  I would be happy to start the topic to ask for thoughts if you let me know if it is possible.

I was thinking along the lines of a option checkbox. I use another list that has a box at the bottom of the page and you can change from oldest to newest or newest to oldest in a whim.
