As their web site says, "The Clubhouse at Scioto Downs is the place to be!"

Three or four years ago I went to flat track racing at Lone Star park in Grand Prairie Tx. It is a horse track so the dirt was pretty loose. It was a lot of fun to watch. There was a terrible wreck though. On the back side of the track there was a metal rail and a rider hit. There were no hay bales to protect the riders. The post that the rider hit broke and the jagged edge cut the rider in the stomach. He later died. The track had hoped to have an annual race. They never came back.

Pretty darn good. There were even a couple Suzukis running. Chris Carr, reigning champ, took home the big paycheck.
I gotta hand it to those guys, I about lay an egg if I have to travel in a straight line over gravel. Those guys were almost sideways sliding thru peagravel.
It -was- great. Good old American Flat Track MC races.

And I can assume that the beer was good too
