You too?? I thought it was just me!
Doesn't it make you feel stupid? Just riding along, listening to the engine wind up in each gear, and shifting...and suddenly no more and the sound is still the same....quick thought, "did anyone notice?"......
By the way, I was out shooting pictures yesterday in the mountains (in the car), when around a corner, coming straight at me was a familiar front profile. Yep, there went another Savage, thumpin' through the hills.

Even though KLX is geared for just over 100mph at the red line I still look for 6th.

It does though. I think it goes something like "Left. Right. Left."

I know your not supposed to be in Neutral at a light or stop, but sometimes we do.
I did look at my linkage and it is slightly curved, not a perfect straight piece. Should it be straight?
2 years ago I got rearended in my car. Totaled it! So I am always in 1st when I stop and watching the rear view mirrors for blind idiots. That said........ sometimes you just gotta give that had a rest, we have some really long signal lights here. That catch going back into first has taught me to watch the lights and get back into 1st before I get the green.
Change that linkage as soon as you can. Once it starts to bend theres no going back. I found out the hard way

Gas $3.39 a gallon, map $5.95, getting lost on a scenic country road.......... priceless!
