oil leak from tranny main shaft
11/21/04 at 17:47:46
I have a 95 Savage that I have had for about 5 months and I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix a leak comming from the mainshaft out of the tranny. The oil only leaks when the engine is running and comes from between the shaft splines and the bushing surrounding the shaft. Is this an easy fix or a major teardown? It is not comming from the pressed in seal around the bushing, but from between the splines themselves. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. ???

There's also an O-ring inside the bushing.
Check

for parts-breakdown.
