Thats pretty much what I had concluded too. It was easy and when I went in to the dealer I was kinda hoping he had one in stock so I could see it first. But he didn't so knowing they were online about the same as his price I just went ahead and ordered it. He normaly has an order coming in every Tuesday so it was about as easy by that time to let him get it. Plus I was paying for a Oil filter at the time so why not just do it I figured. But I should have just gotten the Blue Away at the same time I guess. Ended up needing it.

I may just pick some up when I get my heat shield. I looked and, while it's not awful, I do have some handprint schmutz burnt on under the stock shield.

There is all manner of tape, header tape, insulating tape, cementing tape, etc. What is the purpose of the tape on the exhaust system? Is it to retain heat or for appearence or insulate sensitive parts or something else?
