Hey rkutzner, the conversion is pretty easy, I pulled the exhaust off of the bike, took off the stock muffler and took the stock setup and sportster muffler into a Midas muffler shop. Had them make a adapter about 10 inches long that slipped over the outside of the stock pipe and slipped into the end of Sportster muffler. The adapter needs to be bent at about 10 degrees to match the angle of the stock muffler which is why you should take everything in to the shop, it gives the guys an idea of what they are replacing. Besides the adapter you need a piece of flat stock and some bolts to mount to the stock mounting points and a couple of muffler clamps to hold it all together. I was able to reuse the orignial heat shield but a replacement would look better. The sound is a lot better than the stock unit but isn't deafening.

Try knocking a 1/2" hole in the baffle.   It'll be heard.

Keeping the header length close to stock is important.
The standard header continues a way into the silencer hence the need for the adaptor with the harley silencer.
