not to be a debbie downer but.. this is how i spent my newyears eve.

i cancelled the event i was planning and sent the money i would have spent partying to the relief effort and requested my quests to do the same, which they gladly agreeded to.

i am considering going there myself to help. in some of the area's there is no one available to unload the planeloads of supplies being sent.  i haven't figgured out how to get there but i am drawn to it.

i propose this. all who post, send what you can. to those who just read the posts but do not participate in the discussion, please do the same. we are a community, lets show our support to those who need our help the most.

I sent money a few days ago to Red Cross Disaster Relief.  The cool thing is my company matches donations 100% - so it was twice than what I gave out of pocket.
